A Citywide Campaign for Philadelphia
Contribute to the real people behind one of Philadelphia’s most iconic cultural legacies and ensure they are seen, supported, and sustained.
Philly has always known how to ride for each other.
We make culture out of anything. We protect each other. We carry legacy forward with our own lives.
For generations, the Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club has been an iconic part of our story — preserving the tradition of Black urban horseback riding, creating space for young people to grow, and reminding the city who we are when we move together.
Now, through the documentary FLETCHER STREET (Co-Directed by Jannat Gargi and David Darg), people around the world are being invited into that story, from Hot Docs to Mountainfilm, and back to our city of Brotherly Love.
But this campaign is bigger than a film release.
This is about rallying around culture before it dissolves into branding, nostalgia, or memory. It’s about building something joyful, collaborative, and deeply Philly this summer and fall.
WHAT WE’RE BUILDING
Carrot Impact is leading the impact campaign for FLETCHER STREET — designing a citywide effort that brings together our community of artists, organizations, local businesses, and everyday Philadelphians to celebrate what makes Philly Philly, see our neighbors on screen, and rally around the future of Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club. Over the coming months, the campaign will include:
Community events and activations
Volunteer opportunities
Fundraising and crowd-raising for FSURC
Partnerships with local artists, brands, and cultural institutions
Community screenings and conversations
Opportunities for schools, creatives, and local organizations to participate
Public celebrations of Philadelphia culture and legacy
This campaign will feel like Philadelphia at its best. collaborative, creative, loud, loving, resourceful, and impossible to ignore.

Calling Artists, Brands, Creators & People Who Love Philly
Tattoo artists. Painters. Local brands. Designers. DJs. Photographers. Restaurant owners. Teachers. Organizers. Barbers. Horse lovers. Neighbors. People and businesses who care about culture.
Too often, cities lose the very things that make them feel alive. Not because people stop loving them — but because people assume they’ll always be there.
Fletcher Street is more than iconography. It’s mentorship. Tradition. Care. Land stewardship. Youth development. Black cultural legacy. A living piece of Philadelphia history.
This campaign is an invitation to show up for it together.
